Actress Choi Seong-eun has personally selected keywords that express her character Song Ha-kyung in 'Last Summer'.

KBS2's new weekend mini-series 'Last Summer' (directed by Min Yeon-hong, written by Jeon Yu-ri) is a remodeling romance drama that unfolds as two friends, who have known each other since childhood, confront the truth of their first love hidden in Pandora's box.

Choi Seong-eun plays the role of Song Ha-kyung, a public servant in architecture who wants to leave her long-time hometown of Patan-myeon. Ha-kyung experiences confusion when her estranged friend Baek Do-ha (played by Lee Jae-wook) returns to 'Patan-myeon' due to an incident that occurred two years ago. As curiosity about the complex narrative of the character Song Ha-kyung grows among potential viewers, Choi Seong-eun revealed her heartfelt feelings about the work.

Regarding her choice to take on 'Last Summer', Choi Seong-eun said, “The simple and warm story and the relationships contained within it appealed to me. I chose this role because Song Ha-kyung is a character that many people may not have seen in me.”

Choi Seong-eun interpreted, “Song Ha-kyung is someone who finds it difficult to be affectionate towards those she cares about. However, she is also determined and full of life, which allows her to accomplish most tasks well,” while identifying keywords for Ha-kyung as ‘chestnut burr’, ‘green’, and ‘tree’.

She continued, “Ha-kyung is like a chestnut burr, sharp and pointed on the outside but filled with rich chestnuts inside. Like the color green, she is always full of energy and stands quietly like a tree, sometimes appearing lonely but wanting to give a lot to those around her.”

Choi Seong-eun described 'Last Summer' as a fig. She explained, “My favorite summer fruit is figs. Just as I feel summer coming when figs start to be sold, I hope this work evokes summer naturally.”

Choi Seong-eun added, “I hope 'Last Summer' can be a story that melts away the cold winter for viewers who tune in this winter. I ask for your great expectations,” not forgetting to greet the audience.

'Last Summer' is set to premiere on November 1 at 9:20 PM.
