‘Transit Love 4’ returns with an unprecedented level of dopamine and a captivating cast.
On the morning of the 1st, a production presentation for the Tving original ‘Transit Love 4’ was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan, Seoul. The event was attended by PD Kim In-ha, along with Lee Yong-jin, Kim Ye-won, and Yura.
‘Transit Love 4’ is a dating reality show where couples who have broken up for various reasons come together in one house to reflect on their past relationships and meet new connections in search of their own love. It is a new series of ‘Transit Love’ that has presented a new paradigm of dating reality with the dramatic narratives of ex-lovers and an innovative format.
The panel of over-invested commentators that has firmly supported the ‘Transit Love’ series, including Simon Dominic, Lee Yong-jin, Kim Ye-won, and Yura, reunites to promise a synergy that viewers can trust.
This season introduces a new device called the ‘Time Room’. There is anticipation for what kind of fun this unique mechanism, which divides feelings towards X and new connections into percentages, will add.
PD Kim In-ha explained, “This season explores themes through time, and the ‘Time Room’ is a newly introduced device that divides answers into percentages rather than just reuniting or transitioning.”
Lee Yong-jin, Simon Dominic, Kim Ye-won, and Yura return as panelists this season. Regarding the differences from previous seasons, Lee Yong-jin stated, “As the seasons progress, I think the participants reflect the environment and the purpose of the program more. You will feel that they are living genuinely without worrying about the cameras more than in previous seasons.”
He added, “This season has a fast-paced development and feels like it’s progressing at double or triple speed. It’s dynamic,” and continued, “I apologize to the previous participants, but this season’s cast is an unprecedented level of dopamine and charm.”
Kim Ye-won also pointed out ‘speed’ as a difference. He mentioned, “I felt a sense of speed that made me think, ‘What if I can’t keep up?’ and “If we view the participants as characters, I think their distinct charms are more pronounced this time, and I believe we will meet really charming individuals.”
Yura, who was called ‘Instinct Yura’ for her excellent sense in ‘X deduction’ in previous seasons, said, “The developments flow differently than we expected,” and added, “There’s a trendy feel to it, and it’s very enjoyable to watch.”
In particular, Yura remarked, “Since it’s the fourth season, I thought I would be able to guess well, but there are really unexpected ‘X couples’ this time,” and expressed, “I think only a few percent of the entire nation would be able to guess. (When it was revealed) my mouth dropped open.”
Unlike previous seasons that were released on Fridays, this season will be available on Wednesdays. PD Kim In-ha explained, “We chose to release it on Wednesdays to provide various viewing experiences on Thursdays and Fridays.”
As in previous seasons, PD Kim stated that he sent DMs to tens of thousands and met with over a thousand people, emphasizing that “narrative is the most important” in the selection process of participants. He elaborated, “We think a lot about what can resonate with the public, and while ‘X’ is important, the birth of new couples is also crucial, so we prioritize the ideal types of the members.”
The panelists who have been with the show until the fourth season expressed their affection by mentioning the program format, the participants, and the camaraderie among the panelists. Yura stated, “I think the greatest advantage of ‘Transit Love’ is the time between the participants. While other programs have new people getting to know each other for about three weeks, the weight and narrative of the time spent with X is something that is hard to find in any other program,” and added, “That narrative is a significant advantage that other programs cannot match.”
He also mentioned that being able to preview ‘Transit Love’ is a major advantage for the panelists, saying, “By the time we reach the final episode, even passersby stop and ask us about it,” and expressed, “It’s very thrilling, but I don’t even tell my family.”
PD Kim In-ha showed his determination regarding producing ‘Love Programs’ that have hit every season in an era of overflowing dating shows, stating, “I believe ‘Transit Love’ can go up to season 10. I am committed to working hard on every season to continue connecting them.”
Finally, PD Kim mentioned, “We have really put a lot of effort into this season, including the OST lineup. Various artists, including Yura, Suzy, NCT Do-young, Rise So-hee, Boynextdoor, and MONSTA X Shownu, have participated, so please show a lot of love and interest.”
‘Transit Love 4’ will be available for free live streaming on Tving starting today (1st) at 6 PM. Episodes 1 and 2 VOD will be available from 8 PM.
