Composer and broadcaster Joo Young-hoon shared a story about being kidnapped by gangsters in the past.

The upcoming episode of MBN's 'Dongchimi', airing on the 6th, will discuss the theme "It's not that I don't have money, but do I lack pride?"

Joo Young-hoon, a prominent composer in the 2000s known for hits like Um Jung-hwa's 'Poison', 'Festival', Turbo's 'Twist King', and Kim Jong-kook's 'Lovely', reveals that he was kidnapped by gangsters over a song composition.

In a preview released, Joo Young-hoon stated, "After the broadcast ended, people from the organization sandwiched me and took me away in a car. I knelt down and promised to create a song by a certain date," shocking viewers.

Joo Young-hoon revealed that he ended up signing a contract for two dance songs and two ballads with the gangsters, explaining, "I was released after signing a statement to create a total of four songs."

He added, "I had to give them songs, but I was reluctant to give them really good ones. I felt threatened and thought they wouldn't pay me. But if I played them a bad song, they would say they didn't like it," making everyone laugh as he continued, "I had to give them songs that sounded okay to them but I thought wouldn't do well."

When presenting the songs, he added phrases like "a melody that young people like," saying he "sold drugs."

Joo Young-hoon, who actually gave songs to the gangsters, said, "I had to give them to survive. But the songs didn't do well."

Meanwhile, 'Dongchimi', featuring Joo Young-hoon, will air on the 6th at 11 PM on MBN.
