‘A Hundred Memories’ revealed the suspicious character Jung Jae-gwang who is chasing after Shin Ye-eun.

The new JTBC weekend drama ‘A Hundred Memories’ (written by Yang Hee-seung and Kim Bo-ram, directed by Kim Sang-ho) will premiere on September 13 at 10:40 PM. Set in the 1980s, it tells the story of the shining friendship between bus guide Young-rye and Jong-hee, and their poignant first love surrounding the fateful man Jae-pil.

The recently released character relationship chart shows various connections centered around Go Young-rye (Kim Da-mi), Seo Jong-hee (Shin Ye-eun), and Heo Jae-pil (Heo Nam-jun), but notably missing is the name of Seo Jong-nam (Jung Jae-gwang), who persistently follows Jong-hee. Although he does not appear in the official relationship chart, the identity of the shadow that relentlessly hovers around Jong-hee raises curiosity.

In those days, being a bus guide was more than just a job; it was a portrait of youth enduring day by day to support their families or achieve their dreams. It has been revealed that Young-rye works as a bus guide to support her family while holding onto her dream of attending university. However, Jong-hee's situation is different. While her bold dream of becoming Miss Korea is revealed, the reason she started working as a guide remains shrouded in mystery. Thus, the hidden story of the new guide Jong-hee, who appears like a ray of hope at Cheong Ah Transportation, becomes an important question posed by ‘A Hundred Memories’.

Additionally, the appearance of the suspicious man Jong-nam, who persistently follows Jong-hee, heightens the tension. Inside the bus, Jong-hee gazes out the window with an unknown anxiety, while Jong-nam, chasing her on a motorcycle, exudes a rough and uncontrollable obsession. What story lies hidden between the two? The mystery of ‘A Hundred Memories’ tightens the suspense.

The production team stated, “Why did Jong-hee become a bus guide, and what is the reason Jong-nam persistently follows her? These are important points to watch. The hidden stories and mysteries of these characters will intertwine, adding tension to the newtro youth melodrama.” They further introduced Jung Jae-gwang as “an actor who has expanded his presence from being a promising talent in Chungmuro to dramas and OTT,” and added, “With delicate acting that captures deep emotions behind a stoic face, he will portray the youth Jong-nam who hovers around Jong-hee in a multi-dimensional way.”

‘A Hundred Memories’ is a collaboration between hit-maker writer Yang Hee-seung and director Kim Sang-ho. It will premiere on Saturday, September 13 at 10:40 PM on JTBC, following ‘Esquire: Lawyers Who Dream of Being Lawyers’.
