Actress Lee Young-ae mentioned her 15-year-old teenage twins.
On the broadcast of JTBC's entertainment program 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator since 2014' (hereafter 'Refrigerator'), which aired on the 31st of last month, Lee Young-ae and Kim Young-kwang appeared as guests.
On that day, the main character of the refrigerator was Lee Young-ae. Her refrigerator contained ingredients grown in her garden. Lee Young-ae explained, "I am cultivating a garden (on the rooftop). I have moved to Seoul now, but when I was in Yangpyeong, stepping out of the kitchen led to the garden."
Reflecting on her time living in Yangpyeong, she said, "(Organic produce) is on a different level. Chefs know this, but when you grow carrots at home, they don't grow big, but the aroma of the leaves is so good. The kids ate vegetables very well," adding, "The green onions I grew looked like they were walking. They were as muscular and sturdy as thighs."
In the refrigerator, there was a large loofah that she had grown herself. Lee Young-ae explained, "My husband doesn't like fragrant things like cucumbers and perilla leaves, but he likes loofah." She added, "The kids don't eat loofah that often."
It is not easy to cook because her husband and twins have different tastes. Lee Young-ae expressed her concerns about her children's eating habits, saying, "My son is still 15 years old and has a lot of energy. He likes meat and doesn't like soft foods," mentioning that he doesn't eat tofu well.
Chef Sam Kim chopped up cucumbers, which Lee Young-ae's husband doesn't like, and tofu, which the kids don't like, to put into the dish. Kim Sung-joo joked, "The kids shouldn't know that tofu is in it," mimicking the children, but Kim Poong retorted, "Middle schoolers usually don't say anything," giving him a hard time. Lee Young-ae agreed, saying, "That's right. I just have to bring it to their room. I should put it in their room without them coming out," which drew laughter.
Meanwhile, Lee Young-ae secretly married Korean-American businessman Jung Ho-young, who is 20 years her senior, in Hawaii in 2009. Jung Ho-young is known to have a fortune of 2 trillion won, attracting attention. The couple gave birth to fraternal twins in 2011.
