Jiwoo revealed that she is a divorced single.
On the afternoon of the 31st, during the MBN entertainment program 'Divorced Singles 7', five women shared their stories.
In the broadcast, Jiwoo said, "I am a divorced single. I have been through two divorces. What I mentioned earlier was the duration of my first marriage. I found out that my ex-husband was living with a married colleague from work in the house where I lived during my first marriage, and I buried it in my heart without holding anyone accountable. This was about 6 or 7 years ago. I often blamed myself for being too immature during my first marriage, and I thought I was meeting someone reliable based on realistic conditions and values, but the duration of that marriage was just under 2 years."
She continued, "The person who treated me so well until just before the wedding started coming home drunk every day. He kept engaging in behaviors that betrayed my trust. We all know how hard it is to lose a family once. I thought it would never happen twice. A year and a half passed, and the decisive reason for the divorce was that I don't have children, right? But he pressured me to have a child... He even told me to quit my job, and my ex-husband was never home, making it feel like I was left with someone I had to take care of. That was incredibly hard for me," she said, crying.
She added, "At first, I told my in-laws? I asked them to help us as a couple, but they yelled at me, saying, 'How hard must it be for your son?' At that moment, I thought, 'Oh, I am not part of this family.' But my dad came running to pick me up that dawn. He told me not to live in that kind of house. My dad really raised me with great care. I also prepared for divorce to be happy, and it might be an awkward thing to say, but I still dream of a happy family. I hope that can be possible. I was afraid that if I didn't say anything, I wouldn't be understood about why I made that decision. I'm sorry I couldn't say it until now," she candidly shared.
MBN's 'Divorced Singles 7' airs every Sunday at 10 PM.
