Actress Kim Hee-sun has attracted attention by sharing updates on her 16-year-old daughter's studies.
On the 19th, the JTBC show 'One Meal a Day' featured top instructor Jeong Seung-jae visiting Daechi-dong with MCs Kim Hee-sun and Tak Jae-hoon, marking 100 days until the college entrance exam.
During the broadcast, the two MCs introduced the area, saying, "This must be the most competitive place in Seoul," and "This is the famous Daechi-dong, the home of academies."
Kim Hee-sun shared, "I've actually been here up to 16 times, as a parent with experience in Daechi-dong academies," and added, "Since there are so many academies here, mothers can't help but come. They need to ride with their kids."
Later, Kim Hee-sun visited a self-study academy with Jeong Seung-jae, where they took time to ask students about their target universities.
When one student mentioned, "I'm thinking of aiming for Yonsei or Korea University in biotechnology," Kim Hee-sun responded, "Biotechnology seems similar to my child’s interests. My child also likes microbiology and cells," drawing attention.
Kim Hee-sun's daughter, born in 2009, is currently 16 years old. She reportedly scored full marks on a gifted test at the age of 6 and is now studying in Los Angeles, USA, after spending time in Singapore.
Previously, Kim Hee-sun mentioned on a show, "My daughter once hoped to become a YouTuber, but she has since made a very firm decision," adding, "It seems she has solidified her interest in the life sciences."
Meanwhile, Kim Hee-sun married a businessman three years her senior, whom she met through a friend in 2006, and they have one daughter together.
