‘Single mom’ broadcaster Jeong Ga-eun shared her story of experiencing financial difficulties.
On the 19th, Jeong Ga-eun appeared on MBN’s ‘Sokpuri Show Dongchimi’ to update on her current situation. The episode featured the theme ‘What a hardship in the later years’ where the cast shared their personal stories.
Jeong Ga-eun revealed, “The income in the entertainment industry is unpredictable,” and added, “As a single mom raising my daughter alone, I obtained a taxi license and am working as a taxi driver,” which drew attention.
She continued, “Last summer, I had almost no income. My daughter and her friend went to a cake shop and chose a piece of cake each. But I couldn’t bring myself to buy those two pieces. I felt so sorry and sad,” as she teared up.
She also shared, “There are many times when my wrist and back hurt, but I can’t even afford a massage. In the past, I would get a massage and rest after work, but now I feel it’s a waste to go. It’s sad to be in pain, but when you have no money, you hesitate to go to the hospital even when you’re sick,” she confessed.
Jeong Ga-eun stated, “When I earned a lot, I would get a massage after work and go home to rest, but now I feel it’s a waste to spend money on a massage. As I get older, it’s sad to be without money,” she said.
Jeong Ga-eun married a businessman in 2016 and has one daughter, but they divorced in 2018. She is currently raising her daughter alone and communicates through her YouTube channel.
