Park Joo-hyun and Roy Kim revealed their drastically different daily lives.
On the afternoon of the 19th, MBC's entertainment program ‘My Little Old Boy’ (hereafter ‘My Little Old Boy’) featured Park Joo-hyun and Roy Kim in succession.
On this day’s broadcast, actress Park Joo-hyun appeared as the first protagonist of the segment. Her well-built manager stated, “Before being a manager, I worked as a bodyguard. The reason I joined this company was to be Park Joo-hyun's manager. I thought I could protect her well, but instead, I am the one being protected. She has great stamina, a strong desire to win, and these days she even does boxing,” he reported.
As soon as he woke up in the morning, he loosened his muscles with a foam roller and various massage devices, mentioning that he is preparing for a boxing competition in a month and is working out to avoid getting hit.
After walking his dog, he changed into workout clothes and packed his workout supplements. When he spilled some powder, he casually remarked, “Oh no, I messed up!” showing a cool demeanor.
Upon arriving at the gym, he completed an impressive amount of exercise, comparable to that of an athlete. Park Joo-hyun explained, “I need to raise my heart rate to start my day; that’s how I gain energy for the day. Exercise shouldn’t be an event; it should be a default.”
After finishing a shower in the sauna, he practiced boxing in between waiting for his drink at a café. When he got home, he prepared stir-fried pork and cucumber bibimbap for his first meal, showing a thoughtful side by also preparing food for his manager.
After getting to the parking lot, Park Joo-hyun rode her motorcycle, her unique mode of transportation, on the road. The destination was a boxing gym connected to the fitness center, where her manager was already working out.
Having only been boxing for a month, she began practicing with her manager. During practice, when she got hit in the abdomen, Park Joo-hyun exclaimed, “Hey, you jerk! You crazy jerk!” causing laughter.
While heading to the schedule location in a messy car, she casually ate expired jelly, saying, “Am I still hungry no matter how much I eat?”
Upon arriving at the theater rehearsal room, Park Joo-hyun practiced with notable actors like Lee Sang-yi, Lee Joo-young, and Kim Hyang-gi. During a meal after practice, she mentioned, “I debuted in ‘Hamlet,’ but back then I had no recognition; since ‘Human Class,’ many people have started to recognize me.”
In response to Hong Hyun-hee's comment that she still resembles Shim Eun-ha, Park Joo-hyun said, “At first, that was the case, but I received a lot of criticism. I’ve never said that myself, but my mom has heard that a lot,” confessing that she possesses a unique DNA.

The second protagonist of the segment was Roy Kim. When the panel noticed Roy Kim's colorful phone case, they teased, “He’s a national treasure.”
Boasting a tidy living room and stylish decor, he showcased his impressive muscles as a former Marine while washing his face. The panel, surprised, remarked, “Oh, you have muscles?”
His manager stated, “It’s been 10 years since we met, and we’ve been working together for 4 years. I think he has become much more comfortable lately. His true self is coming out... When I listen to Roy Kim’s songs, they are sad and sweet, but these days he appears in running shorts like an uncle, so I worry that all the female fans might leave.”
Wearing shorts that looked like underwear, he accidentally cut himself while shaving, bleeding while singing sweetly, which surprised the panel.
After changing into comfortable clothes, Roy Kim arrived at a restaurant and ordered mackerel kimchi stew. Without feeling out of place among the uncles, he finished a bowl of rice and even packed coffee mix and starch toothpicks, showing his uncle-like demeanor.
After the meal, he met with his manager and headed to a makeup shop before participating in a festival. At that time, a stylist he had worked with for 13 years appeared, saying, “I started working with him after he asked me to dress him like the director.”
Upon arriving at the venue, Roy Kim passionately sang ‘Spring Spring Spring’ and then took off his outerwear to show off his muscles. The stylist watching remarked, “Why did you take it off after just one song? It’s really annoying. Why did you coordinate the outfit? You should have taken it off from the start!” expressing disappointment.
Watching Roy Kim perform passionately, his manager shared in an interview, “Roy, a ship is safest when it’s docked, but that’s not what a ship is made for. I feel proud and grateful that you seem to be finding your thoughts and direction well.”
‘My Little Old Boy’ airs every Saturday at 11:10 PM on MBC.
