Jo Yu-ri shared the behind-the-scenes story of her acceptance into 'Squid Game'.
On the afternoon of the 12th, during the MBC entertainment program 'Knowing Bros' (hereafter 'KBS'), Jo Yu-ri recalled the moment she received the acceptance call for 'Squid Game'.
During the broadcast, when the director said, "I don't usually call you during my schedule," Jo Yu-ri responded, "I was in the middle of recording the OST, but I felt like I had to answer that call. Normally, I don't take calls while recording. So I asked for permission and answered the call, and the director said, 'You got it!'" she recalled.
The director said, "Yu-ri has a strong desire to act, so she auditioned almost every day. I felt her skills were improving. I thought, 'This girl is going to make it,' but I couldn't believe she got accepted either. When I called Yu-ri, she was screaming and crying. She had really worked hard. As that moment passed, I suddenly felt emotional too, so I quickly hung up the phone," he said.
