Actress Kim Nam-joo revealed the first birthday gift she received from her husband Kim Seung-woo.
In the SBS Life program ‘Queen of Insight Kim Nam-joo’ aired on the 22nd, Kim Nam-joo was shown for the first time revealing the house she has lived in with her family for 20 years.
On that day, Kim Nam-joo introduced her garden filled with flowers and trees. She said, “I bought the fountain because it was said to be from France. But it cracked. I asked for it to be repaired, and they did. But it cracked again. Now it’s fine, so I’m just using it.” She continued, “Isn’t it so pretty? I don’t use it in winter, so snow piles up nicely. I use it when guests come starting from spring. Isn’t the sound of water so different when it’s there and when it’s not?”
Kim Nam-joo talked about the striking green front gate, saying, “I ordered the front gate from Italy early in our marriage.” She added, “My husband bought it for me as my first birthday gift. When he asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I told him I wanted a green front gate. He said, ‘You might be the first person to receive a green front gate as a birthday gift.’”
She then added, “It took 8 months to receive it, and looking back now, I think my husband must have had a really hard time. I’m the type to wait for something pretty, but my husband can’t wait at all and is the type to do something quickly, even if it’s a second choice.”
