In the 14th season of 'I Am SOLO, The Seasons of Love Continue', Kyungsoo and Gukhwa have reached a happy ending as the only couple of 'Golsing Minbak'.
On the broadcast of ENA and SBS Plus's entertainment program 'I Am SOLO, The Seasons of Love Continue' on the 15th, the scene unfolded where the eight men and women of 'Golsing Minbak' entered the final selection. After a tumultuous romance war, Kyungsoo and Gukhwa from the 14th season became a couple, while Baekhap and Rose felt the reality of the situation by not making a final selection despite the direct advances from 'Two Youngsik' and 3rd season Youngsoo.
On the last morning at 'Golsing Minbak', the production team announced the 'Morning Letter Mission', instructing participants to leave a letter in front of the person they want to express their feelings to. 10th season Youngsik handed a letter to Baekhap, while 14th season Kyungsoo delivered a letter to Gukhwa. After reading Kyungsoo's letter, Gukhwa immediately wrote a letter in return and delivered it to him.
Rose handed a densely written letter to 3rd season Youngsoo, and after reading it seriously, which contained her realistic concerns about being a divorcee and the single 3rd season Youngsoo, he comforted her by saying, "If the (negative) gaze from those around you is burdensome, it's okay not to make a final selection."
After reading Gukhwa's letter, 14th season Kyungsoo came out of his room holding a small box. He then called Gukhwa over and asked her to open the box, saying it was a mission given by the production team. Inside the box was a video capturing Gukhwa's moments as they created memories at 'Golsing Minbak', which moved everyone. Notably, Kyungsoo brought his computer from home and edited the video all night, which even made the three MCs, Defconn, Kyungri, and Yoon Bomi, emotional.
Kyungsoo said, "I never imagined I would feel this way, and I'm so grateful that you came here," shedding tears. Gukhwa responded, "It feels like I came here to meet you. It feels like a gift I received at the end of my 30s."
Baekhap checked the letters from 10th season Youngsik and 22nd season Youngsik that arrived for her, and wrote replies to both. Meanwhile, Rose suggested to everyone, "Let's play a ladder game and get coffee." Shortly after, they played rock-paper-scissors, and the pair who had fought the day before, 22nd season Youngsik and Rose, won the 'coffee treat' and caused a chill.
On the way to the cafe, Rose explained once again why she felt disappointed with 22nd season Youngsik. He then turned on a reconciliatory mood by saying, "What’s the point of holding onto bad feelings?" and 22nd season Youngsik responded, "Let's just laugh it off." Thus, the two coolly resolved their past grievances.
A little later, the production team announced, "We will give everyone time to have a 'final conversation' with the person they exchanged letters with." Baekhap decided to talk to 22nd season Youngsik first, and when they met at the cafe, he made a final 'fiery appeal' by saying, "I can really treat you well." He continued, "If you don't choose me, I'll accept it, but if you do, I feel like I would fly," laughing coolly. However, he expressed his frustration in front of the production team, saying, "I thought it was a '1:1 date'. Once again, it's a group date, and I'm confused."
Next, Baekhap entered a conversation with 10th season Youngsik and asked about the meaning of the final selection. 10th season Youngsik said, "It's about getting to know what kind of person this is while dating," and asked, "Does dating make you gain or lose?" He then shared his thoughts, saying, "I think our 1 night and 2 days is equivalent to about 2 weeks in society. (The final selection) doesn't have much meaning; it's about how much responsibility you take."
Rose expressed her concerns about not matching the lifestyle of 'the popular 3rd season Youngsoo', while also not hiding her worries about the meeting between 'single acupuncturist' 3rd season Youngsoo and herself, a 'single parent divorcee'. Youngsoo sang Roy Kim's 'If We Break Up Then' to express his feelings, saying, "A song came to mind while reading the letter." Rose thanked him for the precious memories but honestly revealed, "I can't choose based solely on the feeling of it being good."
Finally, the time for the final selection arrived. 14th season Kyungsoo said, "I never imagined my feelings would rise this much here," and chose Gukhwa. Gukhwa responded, "I thought I wouldn't be able to have a sweet relationship anymore, so I'm very grateful," and went directly to Kyungsoo, becoming the final couple. Dongbaek said, "I bless the choice of lovely Gukhwa and Kyungsoo," and gave up on the final selection.
3rd season Youngsoo went straight to Rose, saying, "I'm grateful just for your existence." However, Rose surprised everyone by saying, "I thought a lot about how you fit my ideal type, but I will not make a final selection."
Following that, both 10th season Youngsik and 22nd season Youngsik went straight to Baekhap, who expressed her gratitude to both but ultimately did not make a final selection. Shortly after, Baekhap revealed to the production team, "If I had to choose today, I would have chosen 10th season Youngsik. But when 10th season Youngsik said, 'If we don't decide today, it's over,' I felt pressured." Once the final selections were all over, 14th season Kyungsoo expressed his passionate feelings for Gukhwa, saying, "I could date her right away."
The preview that followed revealed the fourth 'One More Special' taking place on the 'fantastic island' of Geoje, and it heightened expectations as it was announced that 17th season Oksoon, who has been most frequently mentioned as the 'ideal type' by the solo men of 'I Am SOLO', would appear.
The fourth 'One More Special' featuring 'A/S Romance' can be seen on 'I Am SOLO, The Seasons of Love Continue', which airs on the 22nd at 10:30 PM.
