Joo Woo-jae has made a splash in Hong Kong as the close friend of Byun Woo-seok.
On the afternoon of the 10th, the MBC variety show ‘What Do You Do When You Play?’ (directed by Kim Jin-yong, Jang Woo-sung, Jang Hyo-jong, Wang Jong-seok, written by Choi Hye-jung) featured members dining in Hong Kong.
In this episode, Joo Woo-jae, Lee Yi-kyung, Park Jin-joo, and Lee Mi-joo headed to a popular brunch spot in Hong Kong called Cha Chaan Teng, where they ordered various dishes including tomato ramen and milk tea. At that moment, fans who recognized Joo Woo-jae and Lee Yi-kyung appeared. A Hong Kong fan said to Joo Woo-jae, “Now that I think about it, I know who you are. You are Byun Woo-seok’s close friend,” to which Lee Yi-kyung laughed and replied, “They know you as Byun Woo-seok’s close friend.”
The Hong Kong fan apologized, saying, “I’m sorry, but I really can’t remember your name,” and Joo Woo-jae awkwardly responded, “In Korea, I’m Byun Woo-seok’s friend, but if this goes global…”
