In the Tving original series ‘Shark: The Storm’, Kim Min-seok and Lee Hyun-wook clash fiercely and passionately.

On the 8th, the production team of the Tving original series ‘Shark: The Storm’ (directed by Kim Gun, written by Min Ji, produced by SLL and Two You Dream Co., Ltd., provided by Tving) released a ‘fighting action poster’ that hints at the ultimate showdown between the now stronger Cha Woo-sol (played by Kim Min-seok) and the unpredictable monster villain Hyun Woo-yong (played by Lee Hyun-wook). The heavy punches thrown at each other and the relentless instinct for brutal attacks ignite adrenaline and heighten expectations.

Released in 2021, ‘Shark: The Beginning’ was the first original movie from Tving based on a legendary action webtoon, garnering significant attention. After four years, ‘Shark: The Storm’ returns as a six-episode series, generating immense anticipation. It tells the story of Cha Woo-sol, who is training to become a mixed martial artist after his release, and the vicious villain Hyun Woo-yong, as they engage in a stormy showdown in this real survival action piece. Cha Woo-sol, who had to fight to survive, overcomes fear and limitations, growing stronger as he now faces a new ‘evil’ to protect his loved ones. The expanded scale and thrilling action are expected to deliver extreme catharsis.

While the previous special poster and main trailer heightened tension with sharp provocations towards each other, the newly released fighting action poster signals the start of a life-and-death round between Cha Woo-sol and Hyun Woo-yong. Cha Woo-sol has transformed from a weak boy to a physically and mentally strong individual. In his fierce gaze as he throws punches, fear has been erased, leaving only a strong determination to protect his world.

The aura of the organization boss ‘Hyun Woo-yong’, who pulls Cha Woo-sol into the storm, adds to the suffocating tension. Like a predator that has spotted its prey, his instinctive movements read the opponent's weaknesses, exuding the force of an ‘absolute powerhouse’. Hyun Woo-yong hides a brutal face behind the title of the head of the martial arts association. As Cha Woo-sol steps onto the battlefield he created, will he be able to protect what is precious and achieve his dream of becoming a fighter? The phrase ‘The fighting action of two men begins’ raises expectations for a heated showdown. The life-and-death struggle of Cha Woo-sol, who has started fighting to protect what is precious, and Hyun Woo-yong, who designs a deadly game for thrill, draws attention to their differing goals.

Director Kim Gun of ‘Shark: The Storm’ stated, “Cha Woo-sol, caught up in Hyun Woo-yong’s world, dives into a fight where he cannot stop swimming like a shark that dies if it stops. Cha Woo-sol will transform from a boy to a man in an instant when he encounters the overwhelming evil that is Hyun Woo-yong,” adding, “You can look forward to the detailed action synergy and perfect emotional rhythm between actors Kim Min-seok and Lee Hyun-wook.”

Ahead of the release of ‘Shark: The Storm’, Tving is currently offering the original movie ‘Shark: The Beginning’ for free until the 15th. Additionally, it will be specially aired on tvN on Sunday, the 11th, at 10:50 PM. The Tving original series ‘Shark: The Storm’ will be fully released on Tving on Thursday, the 15th.
