Nam Bora, the eldest daughter of 13 siblings, will become a kimbap master on ‘Pyeon Restaurant’.
In the KBS2 show ‘New Menu Launch Pyeon Restaurant’ (hereafter ‘Pyeon Restaurant’), airing on the 14th, the rich daily life of Nam Bora, the eldest daughter of a large family of 13 siblings and a bride-to-be getting married in May, will be revealed. Nam Bora will be making a set of three types of Korean snacks: tteokbokki, kimbap, and fish cake soup for her younger siblings. The large-scale capabilities of K-Bora, who was born to make large quantities, are expected to shine.
In the VCR, Nam Bora was chatting in the family group chat. When her younger siblings expressed their desire to eat tteokbokki, Nam Bora suggested, "Let’s have a tteokbokki party at our house today." When she posted the announcement, her younger siblings promised to visit, bringing laughter.
Nam Bora has been cooking for her siblings since she was in the 3rd grade of elementary school as the eldest daughter of 13 siblings. On this day, she began to prepare a large quantity of the three types of Korean snacks for her siblings. What particularly caught attention was Nam Bora's skill in rolling kimbap. She cooked 20 servings of rice using 4 kg of rice and prepared various kimbap ingredients in large quantities, then sat down to roll the kimbap without a bamboo mat.
Unlike store-bought kimbap, Nam Bora's kimbap was generously filled with ingredients. She rolled it perfectly in one go without any shaking. Chef Lee Yeon-bok was impressed by Nam Bora's kimbap skills, as she placed rice on the seaweed and added the filling flawlessly. Nam Bora rolled a total of 30 rolls of kimbap in just one hour, causing yet another round of admiration.
Nam Bora surprised everyone by saying, “(Our family) usually makes 10 servings as a base,” and added, “Recently, I’ve wrapped up to 800 rolls of kimbap.” She also shared some funny episodes she experienced while wrapping 800 rolls of kimbap.
‘Pyeon Restaurant’ will air on the 14th at 8:30 PM.
